And That's Why...
Working on chores this morning and the cats are being very helpful by staying out of my way. One is asleep in the office on my desk chair and one is crashed out on the bed. Great.
Finish my chores, my workout, my shower, my language, my Masterclass and what's left? Oh I still need to make the bed and write. Welp...fine, I'll read for a bit instead.
Boss cat wakes up which frees up the office chair but he wants brushed and snuggled first. Both hands and eyes on the cat please. Adoration is a full concentration job, thank you very much. Okay, fine. When he is finished being adored I see that the washer has finished so I need to switch laundry around. As I'm going to do that I get a notification that a package I had been watching for was delivered to the mailbox so I need to walk down to the corner and pick that up. And then while I'm out I should bring back up the trash and yard waste bins if they have been emptied.
Switch the laundry, tie my hair back (it's very windy today), walk to the mailbox, bring in the bins. Come inside and now sleepy bed cat is up too. Great. I'll make the bed. Finally. Make the bed, take my hair back down so it can finish drying. At this length it takes hours, no joke, hours to dry on wash days.
So boss cat is up. Bed cat is up. The bed is made and I can sit down to write and...
I'm pretty sure I had a good idea this morning about what to write about but it's long since been kicked out of my brain to make room for the lists of "this then this then this" so instead you get...well...this.
And that's why my homework is late and incomplete. The dog didn't eat it but the cat slept on it.
Or something like that.
Still counts.
