April Showers Bring...

Hmm...I don't know, April was really dry for us. It's supposed to be a hot dry summer as well so that plus a lack of April showers bring forest fires and a government that doesn't do FEMA help anymore!

April updates!

Reading and writing and I was told there would be no math...

I'm still ahead on my reading even though I read some longer, slower reads this month that normally would have set me behind. That bonus couch time in March gave me quite a good buffer. Still keeping the mix of fiction and nonfiction. Read two fantasy books back to back and I have such a preference for straight up fantasy with possibly a romance than this EVERYTHING is romantasy nonsense. I was a chapter into the new book and they introduced the dark and brooding brother of her totally not at all earned love interest and I almost tapped out. Come on now...must we? Well we must and we did. sigh

Writing was a little slower, as you know I'm struggling with what to write about. Writing things like this seem frivolous but always writing about the doom and gloom of the US is bad for all our mental health. But even with that I still wrote more days than I didn't and I got four new fiction pieces here and some micro movement on the piece I've been sending to Dana.

Workouts have started to pick back up. I'm at the point where I really want to just do my normal stuff, but I know that I shouldn't. It's a battle. So far I've done well to work, but not overwork. I'm not sure at this point if the procedure did any good. It's hard to tell since the aftermath was so terrible I can't really remember if it hurts less now than it did before, or if it just hurts less than it did right after the scrape. I do have some drastic sensitivity to the cold now that I didn't have but we are heading into warm weather so hopefully that goes away before winter comes back.

My stars are starring. My bonus stickers are bonusing. Though I am going to reshuffle things a bit in May. There is nothing I like more than planning a new start. Nothing I like less than following through, but that's a totally different blog.

May will be setting up that new system and FOLLOWING THROUGH. Continuing to write more days than not and read for fun and curiosity chasing. Speaking of natural curiosity... I've dropped another couple follows off of my Bluesky account, they were interesting and I liked what they were doing, but I am maxed out on what I can take in without meltdown right now, so off they went. I might eventually end up with only three people who only post once in awhile on my list, but that's fine too. Right now my desire to stay sane is outweighing my desire to be fully informed. Especially considering that what is coming from our government is often contradictory to what they said earlier in the day so...
