Hunh...
So I wrote last month about how I was going to start phasing out of the goals and numbers, and I have. As you've probably noticed I haven't written much this month. I'm definitely not going to hit that write more days than not number I usually try for. And the odd thing is...
I haven't missed it. Not really. I think to myself at times that I should probably sit down and write, and then I think, but do I want to? And the answer on most days has been no, not really.
I'm not sure if this is the closing of this chapter (LONG chapter) in my life. If the blogging days are finally coming to an end after 17 years. Or if it's just a temporary lull. I mean seeing that 17 I feel like I should do it for three more and then walk away.
Either way right now I'm just letting it be what it is. If I write, I write, if I don't, I don't.
I do want to finish the short story I started about Olivia, I have ideas on how that ends I just need to get there. Probably quite a few little chapters between now and that, hopefully not as many little chapters as the last short story I wrote for Dana. Which, I could also publish here, if I went in and did some serious editing. And I might do that as well. But I don't know.
And I'm sure there will be times I'll want to vent about something, or wax poetic (sorry, Skip), or just update you all on what is happening. But for now? For now I'm in a quiet space. A lull.
And August is normally a quiet month anyway so I expect that it will be only a handful of posts. It could be like the beginning years of the blogs when I might only publish one or two things a month. Or maybe I will suddenly find myself inspired to write again and flood your inboxes with my ramblings.
Again, right now I'm just trying to let it be.
Basically, don't worry. I'm fine. This isn't a depression lull in writing like 2016, this is just a potential natural end.
Maybe.
Because, I mean, 20 is so much better than 17 right?
