I Just....
The President of the United States posted on his social network that Joe Biden died in 2020 and was replaced by a clone.
All of that is bonkers.
From the fact that the President of the United States owns his own social network to the whole posting (reposting, or ReTruthing as they call it) that the former president actually died and was replaced by a clone. That people believe we have clones that are that advanced. That this will not be the lead news story announcing his impeachment. That if questioned his media person will shake her head and say silly media he was obviously kidding. Though there is no joke in there.
It's all bonkers.
We live in the most bonkers of times.
And it's going to kill us. But that's okay, because we're all going to die, right Senator Ernst? But that's okay because you can find Jesus and live forever. Not sure what Jesus thinks of her sleeping with two different lobbyists while she was on the committee that oversees their budgets. But you know, what ever. #Blessed #WWJD #ProbablyNotTakeAwayHealthCareThenMockPeopleAboutIt
We live in the most bonkers of times where performative cruelty is rewarded and uplifted. Owning the libs is more important than having health care. I guess they are going to put it on their gravestones: Died of Preventable Causes But Owned the Libs to the End
Or maybe they will not die, not really, maybe they will be replaced with clones.
I don't know. I don't know how the logic works these days. I mean, I know it doesn't. I know none of what they say follows the logic train out of the station let alone down the tracks. That's why it's all bonkers.
Living in bonkers times without losing your mind is really difficult. We're all Cassandra now. Or maybe Sisyphus with a side of Cassandra. We keep trying to move forward and we keep sliding right back. During the last election cycle, like the one before it, and the one before that, we all warned everyone how important it was to protect democracy, that it wasn't a joke, he wants to be King, and they all just nodded their heads and said, but can we own the libs? Because when we elected the Biden clone it was a lot harder to own the libs. And the boulder rolls back downhill.
I don't envy the students in other countries who will have to study the rise and fall of the American experiment. They are going to have the hardest time on multiple choice quizzes eliminating the obviously this is too crazy to be right answer. The Health and Human Services secretary could not have possibly wanted to bring a flock of infected ostriches in to the country the same week he cancelled the funding for a bird flu vaccine. That's too much too be true.
The anti immigrant president who screams about criminals and invasions couldn't possibly have brought in the families of actual Mexican drug cartel members. There is no way he would have pardoned the leader of a notorious drug gang that sold hundreds of millions of dollars worth of drugs in Chicago alone. And he wouldn't possibly have pardoned the person who created an entire internet service dedicated to sex trafficking and drug running. There is no way that's possible.
I don't envy them trying to figure out which absolutely bonkers choice is the correct one on their test.
I don't envy us living through this absolutely bonkers time.
Hopefully my clone will have an easier time figuring it out. Or at least be strong enough to keep pushing that boulder while shouting the truth.
