More "Status" Updates...
How about another batch of what would have been status updates? I think for a while this might become a regular feature...
- The whole reason I went back to the gym was to get back to lifting heavier. The other reason I've wanted to go back is access to leg machines. There is only so much I can do with weighted squats and such here at home. But I still wasn't prepared for this... The top weight is what I could manage today. The second one is what I was doing before Covid. Oh so humbling!

- I need to get permission from the neighbors who live behind us to trim our tree that is overhanging their yard. They haven't been home the times I've tried to get their signature. Do you have any idea what a challenge it is to psych myself up to go talk to them one time let alone four?? And of course I'm now afraid that they are on vacation and I'm going to have to move my tree trimming appointment which means another round of PHONE calls...Oh my life is so hard...
- I haven't planted Morning Glories in two years. But this little guy was determined! One little bloom hiding in the bush.

- Usually these guys come out in a bunch to make one big flower pouf. This guy decided to be a solo act. I admire the bravery

- The literal late bloomer. This plant normally blooms in the Spring. One of the first of our plants to do so. But today I noticed there were a few REALLY late stragglers.

- Thirty four years ago today I was in labor. Katie's due date was yesterday, after a month of my OB telling me that it would be "any day now" and I still had about seventeen hours of labor to go before she would very reluctantly, with the help of forceps, finally make her grand debut. Our first lesson in that child having no sense of hurry!
- I'm ready and not ready to decorate the house for Halloween. I'm ready to have it done, but the doing it part doesn't fill me with joy.
Okay, that's enough for today. Planning on finishing up Futures in the next week or so. I'm not sure how many more parts there are considering new avenues keep opening, but I want to get it done before I make the decision on if I'm going to keep writing at all anymore. And also because it's spooky season and I'm sure I'll have a ghost story or two to tell you.
Have a good weekend! I hope the weather is good where you are. Brent just let me know we could get close to 90 on Sunday and that's just not okay...
