Quick Quick...

Not really a long post just a check in post.

We're back but between the red eye on Friday, the time change overnight on Saturday and inconsiderate cats last night I'm beat. But I did want to say we're back safe and sound and luckily had zero flight issues.

Watching all of the delays and long lines due to the DHS shutdown on the news I'm feeling really lucky that we had no problems. I'm not sure if it was just the times we flew or the airports we flew in and out of but the lines weren't any longer than normal and the time spent in them wasn't terrible. Oddly enough the crew in Hawaii seemed crankier than the crew in Portland, though maybe that's not odd. It was a week later, and it's even more expensive to live there than it is here so another week with no pay probably would make them crankier. So nevermind...

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I'm not really writing a long post today. I'm very tired and very scattered.

We're home safe. We had a lovely time. It will take a week or so to get caught back up on everything, knocked out the laundry and another cleaning of the kitchen to day. And right now I'm going to go sit on the couch and stare at a book...I might even read a little.
