Uncertain Times...

Short and vague but only because I don't know anything.

I mean I know things, but I don't know about this.

Intel just announced they are cutting 20% of its workforce. Or I guess technically they just let the workforce know, they leaked it to the press a couple of days ago so we've been in "is it true?" limbo ever since. Which, I cannot even tell you how angry that makes me. What a shitty way to treat your people. (OPINIONS VOICED ARE MY OWN AND DO NOT CLAIM TO REPRESENT ANYONE ELSE) Especially after going through the massive layoffs at the end of last year, AND the resignation of the CEO and hiring of the new one and all of the uncertainty that went with that. Instead of "hey great job keeping everything moving!" it's "and now we come to you...."

I have no idea what that's going to mean for us.

I have no idea what they are going to do, if there will be buyouts or just fuckity byes.

I don't know who will be let go, or what departments, or what areas.

I don't know anything.

Which is...not ideal.

But I know some of you have seen the news and were wondering if it would affect us so I'm telling you what I know. Which is nothing. You know as I know more I'll write about it. It's the best way I have of processing things.

I just wish I knew what I was processing right now.

Ugh.
