Rehab Department...

fiction

"Now are you sure you want to do this? First off, the process can be extremely painful and results are not guaranteed. In fact we've sent a few through the rehab process who came out worse on the other side."

"Yes, I think the risk is worth it. I see the potential is there."

"There is the other risk that the potential might be there but you might not be the one to benefit from it. There are no guarantees there either."

"Oh, I'm sure I will benefit. I just feel it."

"I understand, but I've talked with other people who also 'just felt it' and it turned out that someone else got the benefit. Sometimes it's even someone close, like a cousin or a sibling, and that's not easy to live with."

"I don't have any siblings, so I'm not worried about that. And I've put in the hours so I'm sure it will bring the reward."

"Okay, but again, there are no guarantees. All fees paid upfront, and once the process starts it must be seen through to the end. You cannot step in to stop it, you cannot hinder the process at all. Do you understand?"

"I do."

"What we've found is that it is sometimes necessary for the client to actually break contact and seperate themselves. That that is the only way they are able to tolerate the process. And, I also have to give this warning/disclaimer, sometimes in that process the client discovers that they didn't really need the rehab service after all. That they found what they were looking for elsewhere. There are no refunds if that happens. Do you understand?"

"I do. I've read all of the brochures, I've looked through all of the testimonials. I've even done a search for bad reviews only. I am as informed as I can be and I still want to use your services."

"Okay. Sign here, here and here. See Jessica on your way out and she will take payment. Expect to see first contact by next week. You can call the front desk and make sure it's a rehab specialist at the beginning and not just someone who showed up at the same time, if there is a new entity in the mix you will have the option of going forward, or delaying for a few months to let that run its course. But again, once we start, there are no refunds."

"I absolutely understand. And I just want to thank you for this service, I am sure it's going to turn out great!"

Everyone always did. She had done this service hundreds of times and no matter how many times she tried to warn her clients that it might not work they were sure they were the ones who would have 100% success.

She understood. Hadn't she been the one full of hope not so many years ago. If she hadn't realized she could monetize her skill set she would probably have lived a life of going from hope to hope much like the women and men she served today. But after her 7th boyfriend married the next woman he dated after breaking up with her she had to admit, she was a rehab specialist.

She took men that were selfish, or juvenile, or some other way not really suitable for long-term relationships and she did the work. She made them better men, and then they left her and became great husbands to other women. And when she started talking about it online she found a small group of others just like her. The last girlfriend or boyfriend. The one that men and women would say taught them so much about good relationships but just wasn't THE one.

And she realized that it was a marketable skill.

Rehab Your Rogue was born. The patient friend zoned folks flocked to her. If they could only get that hotty to see that they were the one for them, if they could get the player to stop playing, the seductress to look their way. If only...

She had two pools to draw from. The ones who taught through patience and example what being a good partner meant. How to be a good lover. How to be a good friend. How to be there for someone other than themselves. And the other pool. The ones like her, that were so terrible it taught the lesson that this is not what they wanted. Never wanted to potentially deal with that again.

The sort of person who would create Rehab Your Rogue.
